Abstract
PURPOSE:To continually inject ink drops in proper quantity at an accurate location, by making the flow rate of flying ink fixed wherein head drive voltage is controlled in response to detecting value by detecting the flow rate of the flying ink. CONSTITUTION:Start instructions are given to a head drive circuit 6, drive voltage E1 is afforded, an electrostriction vibrator 5 is excited and ink drops are inected from a nozzle 1. Flying ink is detected by means of a photo-sensor 7, and a R-S flip-flop 8 is reset. The output of a mono-stable multivibrator 11 becomes to a L level, and a latch circuit 12 is set. Contents held in the latch circuit 12 are sent to a D-A converter 13, and the output voltage is forwarded to the head drive circuit 6 as drive voltage +V. Thus, pulse voltage for driving a head is applied to the electrostriction vibrator 5 in response to the next start instructions, the extent of excitation is altered and voltage is automatically controlled so that the flow rate of the flying ink continually become constant.
