Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable plural products to be taken out in the home position by inserting superposed plate materials into one of the plural hemming dies turned to the working position and letting the same ascend to the lower die thereby bending down and bonding the same in cooperation to the ascending.

CONSTITUTION: One hemming die 30 is positioned to the working position by the motor 22 of the hemming device provided with two kinds of hemming dies 30. Next, a plate 62 is superposed on a plate 61 which is bent at a bonding part 61a and the plates are supplied to said hemming die 30. Thence, a jack device 11 is started to let the pressing shaft 18 of the jack 13 ascend and let the lower base 33 of the hemming die 30 ascend. Then, a roller 48 for preliminary bending blade ascends in a groove 49a and moves to the inner side. This causes links 41, 42 to turn, thereby causing the preliminary bending blade 38 to make arc motion and the bonding part 61a of the plate 61 to incline. Further when the lower base 33 ascends and the roller 48 moves outward, the preliminary bending blade 38 evacuates and the lower die 31 approaches to the formal bending blade 32 and makes contact with the bonding part 61a having beforehand been inclined, thereby bending the same down onto the plate 62 and bonding these.
