Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform bending of high accuracy at high speeds by applying plural times of bending to the work which is positioned and supported on a bending die during one reciprocation of a press machine.
CONSTITUTION: When a plate material M is placed on a bending die 1, and a ram PO is lowered by operating the press machine, a moving cam 20 and a bending punch 3 are lowered together with the ram PO, thereby first causing a cam 20 and a driven cam 21 to engage and a moving die 11 to be moved rightward. When the cam 20 descends further after this, the engagement with the cam 21 is released and the die 11 is reset to the fixed position by the elastic force of a spring 5. Then, a punch 3 abuts on the plate material M, and starts bending in a fixed range, so that predetermined one bending is applied at once to the material M. Next, when the ram PO starts ascending, the punch 3 and cam 20 ascend and cause the cam 20 and cam 21 to engage. Then, a moving means 2 operates to move the die 11 rightward, by which bending is applied again to the material M. When the ram PO ascends further, the engagement of the cams 20, 21 is released.
