Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to diagnose a unit without taking diagnostic execution order into consideration by dividing the unit to be diagnosed into several object circuits and then by advancing the test over a comparison between a data input from a prior stage and a normal value.
CONSTITUTION: Diagnostic unit 11 sets input test data for 1st test Tj1 in data register 6 and control register 9, which devance clocks to execute on instruction, so that data will arrive at input register 3 of circuit Cj. This data is address-assigned by SAR8, controlled by control part 5, and inputted via SDR7 to diagnostic unit 11, where it is compared with normal-value data, so that when the both disagree each other, the diagnosis of a next curcuit will start regarding the last circuit as a defective. When the both agree each other, clocks are further advanced for the test of Cj and the output of circuit Cj is set in output register 4. Then, the diagnostic unit makes a comparison with the normal-value data as mentioned above.
