Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the duty ratio to reduce power consumption by connecting a switch to the output of a clock-driven complementary MIS inverter to convert ON/OFF signals of the switch to intermittent voltage signals.
CONSTITUTION: When switch SW is turned on and timing pulse ϕ becomes high- level (0V), p-channel MISFETQ2 is turned off and n-channel MISFETQ1 is turned on, however, complementary MIS inverter outpt P becomes high-level forcedly. Therefore, the FF is set synchronously with rise of ϕ, and output Q is inverted to a low level. Next, when ϕ becomes high-level, the FF holds the state as it is if SW is turned on. When ϕ becomes high-level after SW is turned off, output P is changed to a low level by turning-on of FETQ1, and the set input and the reset input of the FF become high-level and low-level respectively, and the FF is reset.
