Abstract

PURPOSE: To heat sintering machine exhaust gas to a temp. necessary to denitration reaction without consuming fuel by heat exchanging the gas for sintered ore and contacting it to oxidation catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas 2 from sintering machine 1 is fed to cooler 11 through dust removing unit 3 to cool sintered ore 10 of 800W900°C charged from machine 1. Gas 2 thus heated to 200W250°C is sent to oxidation reactor 5, where CO and O2 in gas 2 are reacted in the presence of catalyst to heat gas 2 to 250W400°C with the combustion heat. Accordingly, in denitration reactor 8 denitration reaction can be performed without requiring special heating. The sintered ore is cooled to a predetermined temp. with cold air 13 in final cooler 12.
