Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a strong product excellent in abrasion resisting and anticorrosive property, by dipping the steel link chain parts in a specific hot dipping bath directly after heating the above parts at a temperature more than A3 transformation point in non-oxidative atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Link chain parts made of hardenable steel by hardening, is dipped in molten liquid of hot dipping bath, for example, composed of Sn; 71-86%, Zn;5-10% and Pb; 5-24%, mainly composed of tin and having melting point of below martensitic change beginning temperature of the above parts after heating at a temperature of more than A3 transformation point in non-oxidative atmosphere, such as carburizing, vacuum, inactive gas etc. Hereby, plating and annealing cooling are carried out at the same time and link chain having superior strength, toughness, abrasion resisting and anticorrosive property, is obtained without requiring complicated pre- and after-treatment and then, there is no possibility of flaking plated covering.
