Abstract
PURPOSE: Using factor antibodies prepared by using yeasts belonging to Candida or Saccharomyces as an antigen, wild yeasts harmful to brewage is rapidly and simply detected.
CONSTITUTION: Antisera are prepared by making rabbits immune using yeasts, Candida guilliermondii, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Saccharomyces pastorianus, Saccharomyces rouxii, Saccharomyces bisporus or Saccharomyces ubarum as an antigen and the antisera are absorbed in yeasts used in brewage to prepare said factor antibodies. The factor antibodies are brought into contacts with the yeast to be tested on a slide to cause coagulation. Coagulation always occurs except the yeast to be tested is used as the absorbing yeast and the other yeasts are detected.
