Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for the dot perforation of a fluorescent layer and the blister (caused by fire) of a metal back layer by coating reducing agent and film agent on the surface of the fluorescent layer, heating and drying it, forming the metal back layer, and baking it.
CONSTITUTION: Fluorescent layers which emit blue, green, and red colors, respectively, are sequentially formed in regular order on the inner surface of a face plate. The reducing agent which reduces Cr6+ is coated on the surface of these fluorescent layers and film agent is sequentially coated. Then, they are heated and dried. Finally, the metal back layer is formed on the surface of the film agent and is baked.
