Abstract

PURPOSE: To make easily a position adjustment for an image sensor serving as a photo detection part using neither an artificial carrier unit nor monitor unit, by observing an output waveform at the time of a single scan on the image sensor.
CONSTITUTION: Light from light source 1 is passed through condenser lens 2 to illuminate adhystment pattern 3 staying at a previously-fixed visual-field position and light reflected by pattern 3 is refracted by reflex mirror 4; and the light is divided into two beams by dichroic mirror 5 and both the weparated beams are passed through corresponding condenser lenses 7 and 8 to form images on line image sensors 8 and 9. Both sensors 8 and 9 are provided with fine-adjusting mechanisms 10 for right-left, front-back and skew position adjustments and photoelectric converting elements 81 to 8n, and 91 to 9n are arranged in sensors 8 and 9.
