Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the working with lessened joints with the outer frame by folding a sheet of plate in zigzag to form a number of flat plate sections and joining each adjacent two sections together at front and rear ends in an alternate manner between the right and left sides separated into two at the center.
CONSTITUTION: One long-sized heat exchange material 4 is folded in zigzag at a given space to form a number of flat plate sections and each two adjacent sections are joined together at the front and rear ends from the folded point A to the center line a-a to form openings 6, 7, 8 and 9. Separation plates 3 are mounted at the center convering the joined portions and the topmost flat plate section is joined on the inner surface of the outer frame. Fluid flows in or out as shown by the arrow. In such a manner, there is no need for airtight joining both side ends of the heat exchange members and the outer frame, facilitating the production.
