Abstract

PURPOSE: To inspect the water permeability or air permeability of a continuous underground wall by forming an investigating hole in the wall and inserting an investigating tester into the hole.
CONSTITUTION: An investigating hole 6 is formed in an underground wall, and an investigating tester 7 is inserted into the hole 6. The tester 7 possesses rubber packings 9 at the upper and lower ends of a porous tube perforated with water and air feed pores 8. After the tester 7 is inserted into the hole 6 to feed water or air through a rod 10 and an air hose 11 into the tube, water or air leakage is detected via an observation hole perforated at the subsoil at predetermined interval from the tester 7.
