Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to measure NO2, NO3 concentration in water with high accuracy, by measuring the degree of transmission of test water at three specific wave lengths at the ultraviolet region different each other and operating and processing the value of transmission of each with specific equation to eliminate the effect of organic substance and the tubidity. CONSTITUTION:The ultraviolet light source 1 and the first and second optical paths PS, PR separated into two taking the light source as the original point, are provided. The test water 4 is present on the first optical path PS only and the first and second photo-electric conversion elements 2, 3 are placed at the end point of each optical path. Thus, without requiring the addition of reactive agent, continuous measurement is made with high accuracy.
