Abstract

CONSTITUTION: At the down stream of the vortex column placed in the suction air pas 1, the variable volume chamber 7 is placed in connection to the suction air duct 1. When the slottle valve 5 is fully opened, the traveling wave of negative pressure from the suction valve of the engine passes through the slottle valve 5. The pressure wave through the duct 6 enters the variable volume chamber 7 and converted from sound system into mechanical system by moving the movable barrier 8 and it is absorbed with the inertance and compliance given to the movable barrier 8.
