Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent fall of grindstone away from its wooden support shank by bonding it in such a way that predetermined bonding agent is first applied to bonding face of grindstone by enough amount that is sufficient to allow the bonding agent to be absorbed by and impregnated into the grindstone, and after the agent has fully dried, the grindstone is bonded to wooden support shank with identical bonding agent applied nextly to bonding surfaces of grind stone and the shank.
CONSTITUTION: Predetermined bonding agent 4 is fully applied to each one of surfaces of both finish grindstone 2 and grind diamond stone 3 to be bonded to each of surfaces of wooden support shank 1. After the bonding agent 4 applied as above has fully dried and solidified, identical bonding agent 4 is nextly applied to bonding surfaces of both stones 2 and 3 as well as to bonding surface of support shank 1, then the stones 2 and 3 are pressed against both side surface of the shank 1 respectively so as to have then bonded to each other. In this case, the bonding agent 4 applied at first is adsorbed by and impregnated into the stones 2 and 3, but the bonding agent 4 nextly applied will no more absorbed by the dried bonding agent 4 which is in non-absorptive status. Therefore, all bonding componet in the nextly applied bonding agent 4 is made effective to produce strong bonding layer between them so as to prevent fall of stones away from support shank 1.
