Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a floating type variable impedance circuit which can easily be integrated, by using a couple of differential transistors. CONSTITUTION:Current sources 12 and 22 are those whose output currents are controlled by control voltages VC1 and VC2 applied to control terminals 3a and 3b respectively and current sources 11 and 21 supply currents a half as much as those of current sources 12 and 22. In variable resistance elements R1 and R2, collectors of a couple of transistors Q12 and Q21 are connected to their bases and Q11 and Q22 are not connected together. Viewing R1 and R2 from terminal 1, R1 is high in impedance because of a reverse PN junction and R2 has impedance (r2). Further, R2 is high in impedance and R1 has a value of (r1) being viewed from terminal 2. Circuit R can therefore be considered a reverseparallel-connection circuit of R1 and R2 with a connected voltage follower and a ratio of (r1) to (r2) becomes equal to that of IC1 to IC2.
