Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized and simple structured flux pump capable of reducing the hysteresis loss and of pumping the magnetic flux high efficiently by making the volume of iron core, which is related to the hysteresis loss, lesser. CONSTITUTION:A coil 12 for generating the rotary field and another coil 13 for generating the DC bias field are winded around the bobbin of iron core the inside of which is provided with a cavity 15. Plural superconduction switch element wires 14 are passed through the inner circumference of iron core in its axial direction, respective ends of the switch element wires are connected in common, and the superconduction coil for excitation is connected to form a superconduction loop. Magnetic flux of the rotating field is trapped in the superconduction loop on firmly conductizing a part of the rotating field, and the superconduction coil is excited.
