Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the resistance weldability of the surface treated steel material by lamination-coating the material of electric resistance higher than that of iron on the plated surface of the surface treated steel material.
CONSTITUTION: Metals such as Mn, Cr, Ni, etc. of electric resistance higher than that of iron or their alloy or their metal oxides, metal hydrated oxides, etc. are lamination-coated on the plated surface of the surface treated steel material having been plated with zinc or the like of a melting point lower than that of iron or electric conductivity higher than that of iron. The formation of this coating enables necessary inter-plate resistance to be obtained in spot welding or the like and enables good nugget to be obtained.
