Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to accomplish the measurements accurately within a short period through a simple operation by filling spherical solid materials in a charging container of a meter which is operative to meter such charge density in oil as is generated while the oil is flowing in contact with the solid with the temperature being adjusted.
CONSTITUTION: A charging container 13 having its outer circumference shielded with aluminum foil is interposed between the oil flow rate metering container 27, which is held at a constant temperature by means of a heater 26, and a collecting container 8. The charging container 13 is filled up with spherical solid materials which are made so solid that no gas and liquid can steal thereinto. As a result, after the flow rate is adjusted with the cock 7 of the charging container 13, the metering operations can be continuously performed many times simply by filling the liquid into the container 27 and by opening and closing the cock 4 of a communication conduit. Thus, since the materials to be filled in the container 13 are spherical and solid, the arrangement positions are substantially constant, and the oil flow rate little fluctuates so that there is little dispersion in the measured values of the charge density.
