Abstract

PURPOSE: To set a relative humidity desired by a person in a room, by detecting the wet-bulb temperature and dry-bulb temperature to determine the dry-to-wet ratio, which is proportional to only the relative humidity, to control an air conditioner.
CONSTITUTION: The dry-bulb temperature and wet-bulb temperature are detected by temperature measuring resistors 7, 8 to set the desired relative humidity in the room by a contact S of a variable resistor 12. If the relative humidity of the room is 40 % when the contact S is positioned at a humidity of 60 %, the potential on a point b' is lower than that on the contact S. As a result, a relay 24 is open, a compressor 28 is not driven and the air conditioner blows air. If the relative humidity of the room is 80 % in said case, the potential on the point b' is higher than that on the contact S. As a result, the relay 24 is closed and the air conditioner continues cooling until the relative humidity of the room becomes equal to that indicated by the contact S of the variable resistor 12.
