Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a circuit of constitution on a relatively-small scale to make temperature compensation by making a series circuit, including a temperature compensating diode, increase an emitter power voltage as much as variation in voltage caused by that in temperature. CONSTITUTION:Diodes D2 and D3, and resistance R1 and R2 are connected in series to constitute a temperature compensating circuit. Resistance R2 is connected to emitter power supply VEE, and the anode of diode D2 is grounded. A voltage at the connection point of resistances R1 and R2 is applied to emitter resistance RE as temperature-compensated emitter power voltage VEE'. This circuit constitution varies VEE' so that variation in temperature-compensated emitter potential VE of base-emitter voltages VBE1 and VBE2 of transistors TR1 and TR2 will be canceled by temperature variations in forward voltages VD2 and VD3 of diodes D2 and D3. Namely, if VE varies in temperature, VEE' is equivalently varied in the same direction to hold IE constant. Consequently, the ON output of transistor TR2 is held constant without reference to temperature variation.
