Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a nozzle from being fused by heat in the fire by letting a different kind of gas project and emit out of the nozzle portion of a lead-in pipe which is emitting a burning gas.
CONSTITUTION: A H2 gas lead-in pipe 10 and a O2 gas lead-in pipe 11 are arranged inside a tube 1 made of quartz, and a tubular supplementary nozzle 13 is provided in such a manner that it covers the peripheral surface of a nozzle 12 mounted at one end of a lead-in pipe 10, then the tip of O2 gas lead-in pipe is connected to a part of the nozzle 13. If a H2 gas and O2 gas are led into the gas lead-in pipes 10 and 11 respectively, and emitted from the nozzles 12 and 13, the H2 gas reacts on the O2 gas and burns in the atmosphere of O2, so that a flame 14 is produced at the nozzle 12. Due to the O2 gas emitted from the nozzle 13 at this time, the nozzle 12 is cooled by that O2 gas, thus preventing the tip of the nozzle 12 from being fused in the combustion.
