Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the maximum value of a signal with relatively-fast response by reducing influences of noises by forming a discharge circuit for a capacitor charged by the output of an amplifier only when an output level is less than a fixed value.
CONSTITUTION: A facsimile signal applied to input terminal 1 is amplified by amplifier 2 and then outputted to terminal 4. Then, when an output level exceeds the level of reference voltage 5, transistors Tr7 and Tr11 conduct to charge capacitors 9 and 11. The resistance value of variable resistance element 3 of the negative feedback circuit of amplifier 2 is varied by discharging capacitor 9 to keep the output level constant. On the other hand, Tr16 is turned OFF by discharging capacitor 8. Further, when the output level varied with the input, Tr11 is OFF and Tr16 is ON to discharge capacitor 9 by way of discharging resistance 8 and Tr16. Then, the gain of amplifier 2 increases according to the dischrage to decrease the output level down to the set level.
