Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve calling quality by widening a calling band by superposing a ringer signal upon pilot signal cycle used for a supervision over a reception input level and then by sending a discrimination signal when a receiver is not lifted. CONSTITUTION:A transmission band superposed upon the power line of a duplex terminal equipment at the time of the transmission of a ringer signal consists of transmission bands 21 and 24, transmitting-synchronizing pilot signal cycles 23 which are used for a reception input level supervision and sound modulation and demodulation in common with them and transmits a ringer signal for telephone calling, and discrimination signal cycles 22 and 25 for a discrimination between a reference phase and other phases. Then, phase modulation of cycle 23 is performed to make a phase difference correspond to the switching condition of a contact, the ringer signal, thereby transmitting cycles 22 and 25 at the time of a hook-down. As a result, since there is no ringer signal cycles in bands 21 and 24, a passing band is widened to improve calling quality.
