Abstract

PURPOSE: To steplessly change the revolution speed of a rotary inertial body, by adding an acceleration control brake and an overrunning and a reversal-preventing one-way clutches to a planet gear mechanism provided between two rotary inertial bodies.
CONSTITUTION: A shaft 14 of a carrier 13 of a planet gear type transmission 10 is coupled to a rotary inertial body 11. The overrunning one-way clutch 18 is provided between a shaft 17 of a sun gear 16 and a shaft 15 of another rotary inertial body 12. The shaft 17 is fitted with the reversal-preventing one-way clutch 19 and the acceleration control brake 20. A shaft 22 of a planet gear 21 engaged with the sun gear 16 is rotatably supported by the carrier 13. An unbalanced mass 23 is attached to the planet gear 21. In operation, the revolution speed of the rotary inertial body 11 is kept constant by the clutch 18 even if the revolution speed of the other rotary inertial body 12 decreases. When the revolution speed of the shaft 17 falls, a braking force is applied by the brake 20 to control the change in the speed.
