Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously and automatically produce a laterally symmetric products having uniform characteristic by symmetrically cutting a heater wire with respect to a nodular part formed on the heater wire.
CONSTITUTION: A heater wire 35 is formed by helically winding a strand of tungsten or the like on a core 35a of molybdenum or the like. A nodulare part (D), where the strand 35b is more densely wound, is formed intermediately in a pitch part (C). Pitch parts (C') and (C") are formed between the nodular part (D) and a pitch part (B). The nodular part (D) is formed at a fixed interval along the longitudinal direction of the heater wire 35 with a fixed positional relationship between the pitched parts (A), (B), (C') and (C"). The diameter of the nodular part (D) is slightly larger than that of the pitch part (C') and (C") as the strand 35b is more densely wound. The pitch errors are not accumulated so that accurate dimension is obtained and the yield and quality of the products and productivity are improved.
