Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and simplify the construction, by fabricating a flywheel from a permanent magnet and fixedly providing a metallic plate opposed to the flywheel, thereby integrating the flywheel with a generator. CONSTITUTION:High pressure gas is taken in and expanded in a cylinder 1 to produce low pressure and low temperature gas through a piston 2, reciprocating rotary converter 3 and over-drive gear 4. A flywheel 5 for smoothing the drive of this expansion engine is fabricated from a permanent magnet, while a metallic plate 6 opposed to the flywheel 5 is fixed to the engine casing. The expansion of gas between the cylinder 1 and piston 2 drives mechanisms 3, 4 through the piston 2 and finally turns the flywheel 5, which generates current in the metallic plate 6. Thus the driving power is absorbed and converted into heat.
