Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a high precision scroll capable of high efficiency process by punching out a spiral hole on a disc and by inserting and fixing a spirally bent band plate in the said spiral hole. CONSTITUTION:A spiral hole 22 is punched out on a disc 21 by press work. In said spiral hole a spirally bent band plate 23 is inserted and fixed by means of an inserting jig 44 i.e. the jig 44 is provided with the spiral hollow or hole 45 corresponding to the hole of the disc 21 and the upper end of the hole 45 i.e. the inserting end is provided with chamfering, thus simplifying the insertion of the band plate 23. Through said manufacturing process the scroll can be processed with high efficiency while the former process required a long time. Moreover said scroll has high precision requring no finishing process.
