Abstract
PURPOSE: The centrifuge being free from clogging and easily handleable, by installing the steam pipe for injecting the steam from outside against the filterable basket freely rotatable round the center axis, and the washing device for injecting steam and/or water from inside.
CONSTITUTION: The filterable basket 9 made of wire mesh, etc., being freely rotatable round the center axis, is installed within the case 10. The steam pipe 14 for injecting the steam against the outer surface of the basket 9 is installed at inside of the case 10. The washing device 17 for injecting steam and/or water against the basket 9 is installed at inside of the basket 9. Into thus constituted centrifuge, the raw material for the soybean milk is fed 16 along the center axis of rotation of the basket 9, which is then rotated, and the soybean milk is separated from the bean- curd refuse. Hereupon, by centrifuging while feeding the raw material for the soybean milk into the basket 9 and injecting 14 the steam, the clogging can be prevented owing to the effect of the steam injection; and besides, the bean-curd refuse is washed 17 so as to wash away the bean-curd refuse sticking on inside of the basket 9, at the finishing stage of the centrifuge operation.
