959,866. Centrifugal strainer separators. BRAUNSCHWEIGISCHE MASCHINENBAUANSTALT A.G. July 9, 1962 [July 20, 1961], No. 26353/62. Heading DID. A centrifuge drum 1 has a portion 4 imperforate except for ports 3 intended for discharge of residual syrup and/or wash liquor. The greater part of the syrup is discharged through holes 6 in the lower portion 7 of the drum. The outer boundary of the syrup collection chamber 18 is provided by a rotating hood 21 secured to the drum and by a fixed ring 23 and fixed partition 22. The outer boundary of the residual syrup &c., collection chamber 19 is provided by a rotating bell 28 secured to the drum and by a fixed partition 30. Sugar is discharged at 34.
