Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate a residue being adhered to the rotary valve by providing water nozzle for a minute clearance of the hollow shaft between the blades which are rotationally secured with an axle.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary valve is disposed within the casing 2 located at the bottom of a thermal cracking furnace 1. One of the rotary valve 3 is facing to the inner wall of the casing 2 by allowing a certain clearance, the other permitting a flap 4 to compress with a certain energized force, and rocking the flap 4 freely enabling to discharge with ease by rotating the rotary valve 3 even in the case of mixing a foreign substance in the residue 5 discharged from the thermal cracking furnace. The discharge outlet 6 of the casing 2 is immersed into water of a water tank 7, allowing to isolate the thermal cracking furnace 1 from the outside air, and discharging the residue 5 from the conveyor 8. This permits the rotary valve 3 to discharge constantly and quantatively.
