Abstract

PURPOSE: To means the speed of revolution by means of the pressure of fuel which flows in a conduit by allowing an electric distorsion element having intrinsic resonance frequency to closely contact with the outside surface of the fuel feeding conduit of a diesel engine.
CONSTITUTION: Onto the outer surface of a fuel feeding conduit 2 which connects a fuel jet pump 7 with a jet nozzle 3 which is arranged inside a combustion chamber, not shown in the figure, an electric distorsion element 1 is closely contacted which has an intrinsic resonance frequency which belongs to a frequency range from 100 KHz to 10 MHz. With said element 1, a hihg-frequency amplifying circuit 4, wave-form shaping circuit and meassuring circuit 5, and the indication part 6 are connected, and the high-frequency oscillation of the combustion pressure in the conduit 2 is detected by the circuit 4, and the signal thus formed is measured and reduced to the number of revolution by the indication part 6, and directly displayed as the number of revolution.
