Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum ignition time by carrying out sampling more than several ten times as the explosion frequencies of an engine and carrying out feedback of explosion frequencies so that the frequency of generation of knocking can be suppressed within several %. CONSTITUTION:An ignition advance calculating circuit 5 is connected with a standard angle detector 1, angular clock detector 2, intake pressure detector 3, and a knocking detector 4, and ignition time is determined according to the engine state. Corrected advance calculating circuits 5-10 detect the rate of knocking in the fixed frequencies of combustion cycle, and when knocking more than the prescribed rate is detected, ignition time is delayed by a fixed angle, and when knocking under the prescribed rate is detected, ignition time is advanced by a fixed angle. In knocking detecting circuits 5-9, knocking detecting frequencies varies according to the intensity of knocking in each combustion cycle.
