Abstract

PURPOSE: To protect condensate pump against overload during turbine by-passed operation, by controlling a deaerator level controlling valve on the basis of the level of deaerator and amount of condensate discharged from condensate pump or discharge pressure of the same.
CONSTITUTION: When spill-over valve 21 and spill-over water supply valve 24 are opened with starting of turbine by-passed operation, overload is acted to condensate pump 14 with a portion of water discharged from the condensate pump 14 being sent to water supply pipe 23, and resultantly discharge pressure of the condensate pump 14 is lowered with increasing of the amount of water discharged from the pump 14, detector 30 produces a signal for restricting the opening of deaerator level controlling valve 28. Subsequently, discharge pressure of condenser 14 or amount of water discharged by the same is maintained at a level lower than the rated value.
