Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the quantity of an antibody (or antigen) in a detection body by making a supporter and detection body for sensitized agglutination reaction react and by measuring the length of an upper face of agglutination settled at a bottom part in a container whose bottom face is a hemisphere or cone shape.
CONSTITUTION: An agglutination reaction supporter (latex resin group, denatured animal erythrocyte, etc.) sensitized by an antigen (or antibody) is taken in a reaction container of a hollow cylinder whose bore is approximately 7W20mm having nearly a hemisphere shaped bottom, a detection body is added to carry out agglutination reaction, and then length (diameter of a circle) of an upper surface of sedimentary agglutination at the bottom is measured. The operation mentioned above is repeated with dilution ratio varied so as to obtain a measurement value which logarithms of a measurement value and dilution ratio are in the range of the linear relation. Then the content of an antigen (or antibody) in the detection body is measured by taking a working curve as a reference which is formed by previously using a known standard sample by the same method. Further, a semi-oval, circular cone and slanting surface, etc., beside hemisphere shape can be used for the bottom of a container mentioned above.
