Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the pump from overcompression and reverse flow compression, further to prevent the valve unit from deterioration, by installing an elastically flexible plate-shape valve unit to the delivery port of the pump as well as by porviding a protecting unit behind its valve unit. CONSTITUTION:As a degree of vacuum increases with the intake air pressure lowering, an elastically flexible plate-shape valve unit 10, installed to a control plate 6, having a width big enough for enclosing many delivery ports 5, begins to close the delivery ports 5 from the lower side, that is, successively in the order of 5a, 5b, 5c, when reaching a predetermened degree of operational vacuum, the valve unit 10, with the topmost delivery port 5d or the top delivery port 5 near the tomost one only excepted, closes the delivery ports 5 located lower than the above. In such manner, the plate-shape valve unit 10, functioning to open the only required delivery port 5 and to close the rest, prevents an operational state of overcompression and reverse flow compression, and the valve unit 10, being contacted to a protecting unit 11 and never vibrated, can prevent its detdrioration.
