Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable double indexing by primary indexing and secondary indexing, enable the accurate parallel vertical adjustment of the body of an indexing device and raise the efficiency of work.
CONSTITUTION: A head fitting rod 4 having an arc-shaped groove 3 is coupled to one side of the body 1 of the indexing device, which is open at its bottom and has a rectangular cross section. A support shaft 6 for the head 5 of the indexing device is inserted into the groove 3. A bearing 11 is secured on the support shaft 6. A shaft 12 is supported on the bearing 11. A knob 13 is fixed on one end of the shaft 12 and a worm 14 is fixed on the other end. A trigger ring 17 is rotatably installed by a main bearing 9. A worm wheel 20 is provided on the ring 17 and engaged with said worm 14. An indexing gear 24 is secured on a main shaft 15 fitted in the main bearing 9. A collet chuck 26 is inserted into the main shaft 15. A unit comprising rods 47, 49 for height adjustment is provided at an end of the body 1.
