Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a super hard gear cutting machine wherein gears, each of which is formed by fixing to the side end of the tooth width of a metal spur gear a gear made of a high molecular material having a thickness slightly larger than that of said gear, in the same phase as the tooth form of the metal gear, and metal gears are alternately arranged thereby to remove the back-lash at the time of power transmission.
CONSTITUTION: To one side end or both side ends of each of metal spur gears 1 there is fixed through a ring-shaped keep plate 3 each of gears 2 made of a high molecular material and having a thickness slightly larger than that of the metal spur gear 1 and having teeth in the same number as those of the metal spur gear 1 in the same phase as the tooth form of the metal spur gear 1 by means of a bolt 4. The metal spur gears 4 thus fixed with spur gears 2 of a high molecular material and metal spur gears 4 to which a high molecular material is not fixed are alternately arranged to form a gear train mechanism for transmitting power to the cutter shaft of a super hard gear cutting machine.
