Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce pins of IC in number, to simplify an AGC adjustment and to decrease greatly temperature drift by adding a constant current circuit and then by sharing respective bias voltages.
CONSTITUTION: A composite video signal is inputted to AGC amplifier A1, the output of which is supplied through chroma signal removal circuit CR to amplifier A2; and a synchronizing signal component in the signal is clamped by synchronous clamping circuit SC and a fixed voltage is applied to the output of amplifier A2 by switching the synchronizing signal by the output of saw-tooth wave converter circuit SR. Then, the applied voltage is detected by diode D and inputted direct to amplifier A3. Its output is supplied to resistance R1 through amplifier A4. Here, the one- terminal input voltage of amplifier A3 and the output voltage of amplifier A2 are made to depend upon reference voltage Vr1 and a fixed current is drawn from the output of amplifier A3 to the earth point by a constant current circuit. Consequently, the reduction in number of pins, the simplification of an AGC adjustment and the improvement of temperature characteristics in case of IC-implementation can be attained.
