Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the trouble that copying paper is not taken out of a cassette, by providing paper feed means, paper feed detecting means, paper feed signal generating means, these comparing means, and paper replenishment instruction signal means.
CONSTITUTION: When a paper detection switch does not close even 2 seconds after 4.2 seconds set by a timer, in other words, the paper is not taken out, a solenoid is again connected for 1.05 seconds. Since 2 seconds has elapsed, the solenoid is disconnected at the timing of 3.05 seconds. When the paper does not come out after the lapse of 4.2 seconds, it is judged that the copying paper is absent. The trouble that the paper is not taken out of the cassette is prevented by providing paper feed detecting means, paper feed instruction signal generating means for generating a signal instructing the paper feed means to withdraw the paper, comparing means for comparing the paper feed instruction signal with the paper feed signal from the paper feed detecting means and judging whether the paper is fed within the predetermined time, and paper refeed instruction signal means for generating a refeed signal when "no".
