Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a pressure indicator valve with a safety valve and mounting space by decreasing the number of components by unifying a cylinder safety valve relative to the combustion gas pressure in the cylinder and the pressure indicator valve as a unitary body.
CONSTITUTION: The conventional valve rod forming part of a pressure indicator valve is divided into a valve 10 and a valve rod 11 in such a manner that a guide hole is perforated at the valve 10 and inserted with the end of the rod 11 thereinto. Spring 12 of, for example, four pieces are interposed between the valve 10 and the valve rod 11 to set the set pressure of the cylinder safety valve by the spring 12. Its fine adjustment is performed by a limit ring 13 interposed between the valve rod 11 and a cap nut 9, which ring 13 is welded at W at the one end thereof to a handle 4. When the combustion gas pressure in the cylinder becomes higher than set pressure, the combustion gas is passed through a gas passage a to push up the valve 10 against the spring 12 to thereby discharge it from an opening provided at the cap nut 8 to the atmosphere until the pressure therein become less than set value.
