Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve firing characterisitc of the nozzle which is capable of automatically firing for use in a gas cutting or welding device by an arrangement wherein a stator located at the rear end of an inner cylinder is formed to have a sharp-edge orifice-shaped through-hole, by which a flow resistance against high pressure oxygen can be minimized. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle of the automatic firing type comprises a cylinder 1 for mounting on a burner, which has a high pressure oxygen introduction hole 7 and a mixed gas introduction hole 8, an inner and an outer cylinders 10 and 45 mounted concentrically with the cylinder 1, a conductive cylinder 32 within the front end of the inner cylinder 10 with an insulator 37 therebetween, and a nozzle 40 connected to the conductive cylinder 32. The firing is performed by a high voltage obtained by exerting shocks on a piezoelectric element 28 of a piezoelectrics production valve housed in the inner cylinder 10 by means of the high pressure oxygen. In this instance, the stator 19 provided at the rear end of the inner cylinder 10 has a through-hole of such a cone shape that the diameter is made relatively small in the front end part and increases gradually toward the end part. The stator 19 is pinched between the cylinder 1 and the inner peripheral stepped part of the inner cylinder 10.
