Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable forming of an outsert of good dimensional accuracy and crack- preventing property to be accomplished by relieving residial stress in such a manner as to form resin by providing an insert in a penetrating hole for fixing the resin to a metallic base board. CONSTITUTION:After an insert 7 has been outsert-formed on a metallic base board 1, a boss 2, etc. of resin is outsert-formed by the conventional process. Residual stress caused by difference in thermal expansion rates between resin for forming the boss 2 and a runner 4, etc. and the metallic base board 1 is relieved by the insert 7, and breakage of the boss and occurrence of crack can be prevented. As for material for the insert, it is recommendable to use a material with a large stress relief such as silicon rubber, etc. for forming a product of good dimensional accuracy and a highly rigid material such as metal or a filler-contained epoxy phenol, etc. in the case of forming a product which is to undergo a large external force or considered possible to have boss breakage.
