Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a simple and accurate detection for the radiation storage quantity by detecting the instantaneous light emitted by the storage-type phosphor at the irradiation time of the radiation.
CONSTITUTION: The X rays radiated from X-ray source 10 and transmitted through human body 11 enter storage-type phosphor plate 12 composed by laminating the storage-type phosphor onto the support plate along with the binder, and thus the X-ray photographing images of the human body are stored for recording. The X-ray picture image is then excited via the laser beam, the hot wire or the like to have the light emission, and then detected by photo detector 13. This detection output is sent to integrating circuit 15 for integration. When the output of circuit 15 reaches reference voltage V, switching circuit 17 is truned off to stop the X-ray irradiation.
