Abstract

PURPOSE: To set the photographing condition automatically without depending on perspective photographing, by providing the output from supersonic probe arranged in front of X-ray tube into automatic photographing codition setter to produce the object depth information thus to set the tube voltage and current.
CONSTITUTION: X-rays from X-ray tube 1 passed through an object 2 is converted by image intensifier 4 into visible image, then it is passed through optical system 5 into photoelectric converter 7 and electric signal from which is supplied to high voltage controller 10 to control X-ray tube 1. While supersonic probe 11 is arranged in front of X-ray tube 1 and the detection signal is provided to automatic photographing condition setter 9 to produce an object depth information thus to automatically set the tube current and voltage such that optimal film image is obtained. Since the photographing condition can be set without requiring perspective photographing, exposure of X-rays can be reduced while the photographing time can be shortened.
