Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of beam welding by moving an electron gun by swelling out the tube after positioning the rotary axis of the gun while sealing its back side, by providing the axis of the gun with several positioning doubling as pushing jigs and a seal member.
CONSTITUTION: Rotary axis 5 and its additional member are inserted from the upper terminal of tube 1. Next, a tube pushing body at the terminal of rod 8 of each cylinder 7 is pushed forcibly against the internal surface of tube 1 to make rotary axis 5 agree with the center axis line of tube 1. Simultaneously, tube 1 is swelled outward by deforming and forced to push the hole surface of tube plate 2, thereby completing vacuum sealing. Then, the inflate sealing member 2 is outwardly inflated by high-compressed air and the vacuum sealing is completed. Next, electron gun 4 is adjusted so as to allow an electron beam to strike the welding line between tube 1 and tube plate 2. Next, the front surface is sealed in vacuum 3 and electron beam welding is carried out.
