Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible stable as well as smooth travelling for either of swampy zones or general roads by forming a thin film having a diaphragm property on both slopes of hollow triangular lugs with a bone section formed at both lug base sections.
CONSTITUTION: Triangular lugs each with a hollow cross-section are projected on the tread sections at a circumferential equi-space so that the apex of each lug is positioned on the same radial circumference, while roughly parallel to the rotary axis of the tire. A bone section 17 is provided on both base sections of each lug in such as a manner as to be roughly parallel to the rotary axis of the tire while protruded in the inner diameter direction of the tire. The apex 15, both slope sections of the lug between both the base sections and the section for combining the base sections circumferentially facing to each other are made thinner and less in the tire stiffness than the lug apex 15, the bone section 17 and the side wall section 5.
