1348976 Disc brakes GIRLING Ltd 28 May 1971 [22 June 1970] 30084/70 Addition to 1136426 Heading F2E In a disc brake as described in Specification 1,136,426 the or each ring is constructed from individual triangular segments 1 attached to the rotor web (7). The rotor surface to which each ring is secured may extend obliquely to the axis of rotation and may be frusto-conical. Each ring and rotor may have mutual contact over two concentric annular zones axially offset from each other. The inner surface of each ring may be ribbed to provide passages for cooling air.
