Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the curvature of a rod matter by projecting light to both ends and several points between them from two directions and detecting the rod matter at these points while the rod matter is transferring in a fixed direction.
CONSTITUTION: A rod matter 1 is transferred by a conveyor 2 at right angles to the axial direction of a rod matter 1. Beams of light which lie at 45° to the moving direction at positions of P1WPn on the moving way and fall at right angles with one another, are projected from projections 3X, 3Y and enter receives 4X, 4Y. If the base positions are to be A and the light shutting positions of the rod matter are to be B, C, the distance between the base position A and the rod matter is computed from each component in the x-axis and the y-axis direction of the moving distances of the base position to light shutting positions, its moving time and components in each axis direction and the moving speed. If distances are given at each of the above positions, amounts of displacement can be shown.
