Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the short-circuit of a coil and improve the mounting density of the coil by adding a winding to a magnetic head core through a sandwitch of insulators.
CONSTITUTION: Insulators 5 and 6 are caused to adhere to a magnetic core block obtained by shaping magnetic substance 4 such as ferrite by adhesive or the chemical plating method. This block is cut off by track width W to produce plural magnetic cores 4a, and winding 7 is added to these cores 4a through a sandwitch of insulators 5a and 6a. Consequantly, since the edge part of core 4a is covered with insulators, short-circuit phenomena of the coil can be prevented; and thickness W" in the track direction is made smaller by thickness of insulators, so that the mounting density can be improved. Thus, the trouble to wind an insulating tape around the core element conventionally is omitted, and considerably large offects even for multi- element head application can be obtained.
